BBC tries to solve mystery of evening picture loss
Friday 25th February 2011, 2:29PM GMT.
BAFFLED BBC engineers are calling for islanders to help get to the bottom of Guernsey’s disappearing TV signal.
The organisation has announced its intentions to investigate the mysterious occurrence that causes a regular short-term loss of picture.
Enquiries were made by the Guernsey Press after it was inundated with emails from confused islanders seeking an explanation. The story was also aired by our columnist Midweek Murphy, pictured right.
At 7pm every evening, during the start of BBC1’s The One Show, it has been reported that the picture will distort or disappear for a few moments and then come back.

I think it has little to do with Freeview or to Guernsey. I live in Hertfordshire and it happens most, if not every, night.
I’m on cable to so look to the beeb centrally.
On my visits to Guernsey I notice the loss of picture or interference on the TV seems to be linked with Condor being on the water?Maybe just me?
