MILLIONAIRES could be attracted to an art gallery at the Hotel Bon Port.
The 22-bedroom St Martin’s establishment was sold for £1.73m. in October to mother and daughter Vivien and Alison Haynes, following a sharp fall from the original asking price of £4.75m.
On Wednesday, Shaun McDonald, who is now running the establishment on a two-year lease, said there were no dramatic changes planned for the hotel apart from re-establishing it after a couple of difficult years.
But it has now emerged that the new owners, who did not wish to speak to the media, have detailed their plans to neighbours. They want the hotel to keep operating for at least the next two years but after that, and once plans had been approved, part of it would be converted into self-catering accommodation and the rest into an art gallery and living quarters.
