SIR FABIAN MALBON was probably the best Lt-Governor Guernsey has had, according to islanders.

Sir Fabian and Lady Malbon said farewell to the island on Wednesday, leaving many residents wishing that he could stay.

During his five years as the Queen’s representative in the Bailiwick, Sir Fabian certainly made a strong impression.
