TEN locals planning to run the Virgin London Marathon are receiving help from the local master.
Lee Merrien finished 12th on his debut in the famous race last year and has high hopes again for the 2011 event, which takes place on Sunday 17 April.
But there are also a number of other Sarnians running the 26.2-mile course and they have been attending Merrien’s training runs each week at Foote’s Lane.
There are between 20 and 25 people who turn up for those, including the 10 who are training for London and Merrien is glad he can do something to help.

I don’t really know how much help Lee can be. Having seen him out running if he sets off on a training run with the others following then he’ll be about 5 miles ahead of them in 10 mins!! He is a rocket.
