Developing businesses through better leadership

Thursday 17th March 2011, 2:29PM GMT.

EXECUTIVE coach and Change Management Consultant Dr Elaine Monkhouse will deliver an interactive course aimed at local directors and senior managers next month.

The two day ‘Enhanced Leadership’ workshop, organised by the GTA University Centre, will give delegates the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and will focus on a number of key challenges including strategic planning, leading successful change and developing leadership presence and personal energy.

Dr Monkhouse has extensive strategic management experience having worked in a number of blue chip companies including BT and KPMG and will draw on her experiences during the course.

All delegates will be offered one-to-one coaching sessions with Dr Monkhouse before and after the course to discuss specific learning aspirations and the course content.

“This is a great opportunity for delegates to explore their leadership potential. Participants will also have the chance to influence the course content so it’s tailored to their personal learning objectives,” said Dr Monkhouse.

Simon Le Tocq, programmes manager at the GTA University Centre said this type of leadership skills course would be valuable to many businesses on the island.

“The variety of tools and techniques that delegates will learn during the course will benefit any senior member of the local business community wanting to develop their leadership skills.”

The course takes place on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th April from 9am to 5pm.

Places cost £1295 each and are restricted to six delegates. Those interested should contact the GTA University Centre on 721555 or e-mail Simon.LeTocq@gta.gg
