Shorto adds title to his CV

ISLAND captain Adam Shorto (pictured) was crowned Northern Trust Guernsey Snooker Open champion at another highly successful event held at the North Legion Club on Saturday.
He’s the fourth different winner in the competition’s short four-year history, coming through an epic final against John Skillett that went the full distance.
With the pair’s recent league meeting, which Skillett won, fresh in their minds, it was Shorto who drew first blood to take the opener.
But Skillett, buoyed by having got through to his first final at last, sparked the match into life with an excellent 90 break in the second frame.
