Records tumble as Munro claims county title

MILES MUNRO has produced some record-breaking performances to become the Hampshire champion in his age group.
The 14-year-old Beau Sejour Barracuda (pictured) notched up 2,498 Bagcat points at the British Gas Hampshire County Age Group Championships to claim the overall title.
Against some tough opposition from no less than 21 clubs, Munro, who currently holds the 50m freestyle county record in the 11, 12 and 13 year age group, was keen to add the 14 year mark to his tally.
He went out determined to take Jeremy Osborneās record of 25.46sec. With an entered time of 24.86, he knew it was a possibility and stormed home in 24.74 – a lifetime best to take the county record.
