Unbeaten run ends but not at a cost

DESPITE finishing on a losing note, Specsavers came out on top of the second cycle in the Steele Island Team League to earn a title play-off with Hairtek.
After six straight wins, the table toppers were edged out 3-2 in their final game of the cycle to Bourse, who secured second place with the result.
However, the performance of the match came from Specsavers’ young Charles Stenner (pictured), who demonstrated his improvement throughout the season by winning at an elevated second string against Greg Forino.
Stenner won the rubber by keeping a cool head and playing aggressive, straight squash.
