Rihoy nets twice on Bels return
Saturday 19th March 2011, 2:29PM GMT.
DAVE RIHOY has made a successful return to competitive action after his six-month injury layoff.
The Bels and Guernsey star (pictured) damaged his medial knee ligament in August’s Jeremie Cup game against St Martin’s and missed Guernsey’s European campaign as a result.
But having stepped up his comeback in recent weeks, he scored a brace on his return on Thursday night, in a 5-1 second division win for Bels over Vale Rec.
Although some way from full match fitness, island coach Tony Vance does not rule out Rihoy playing some part in the Muratti Vase final, should Guernsey win today against Alderney, or the NatWest Island Games.
