ARDEL has promoted two senior members of staff to director roles within the company.

Steve Desmond is now director of Ardel Fund Services and Tony Martel is associate director (IT) of Ardel Holdings.

Steve Desmond joined Ardel in 2006 and has over 23 years experience in the financial services sector. In his new role Steve is responsible for the development of Ardel’s fund business, the efficient take-on of fund transfers and the launch of all new funds administered by the company.

“We have seen significant growth over the past few years and with the recent structural changes to the company, it is an exciting time for Ardel. I look forward to being able to contribute to the company’s continuing growth as a key independent fund services provider,” he said.

Having completed 13 years with the company Tony Martel has guided the group through some significant changes in software and systems.

“IT is constantly developing and my role involves managing all company systems and applications,” he said

“A key part of Ardel’s business strategy that myself and my team will be working on is to manage integrated IT across Ardel’s offices in numerous locations, including our head office in Guernsey and other offices in the UK and Switzerland.”

Gerry Williams, Ardel’s chief executive officer, congratulated both on their promotions:
