New brokerage grows quickly

A NEW insurance brokerage is aiming to bring the personal touch back to the local market, according to its managing director.
Guernsey Insurance Brokers, established at the end of last year, specialises in marine and commercial insurance but also offers home, motor, travel and other general business cover.
Richard Wickins (pictured), who founded the firm with fellow directors Wendy Lewis, Paul Rankin and John Richardson, said he wanted to see the firm build strong relationships with all its clients and not be seen as a faceless corporation.
‘Our three-year plan is to be a sizeable brokerage with up to 10 staff, but without losing that personal contact with our clients,’ said Mr Wickins.
