HISTORY has been made by Andrea Guillou as she became the first women to be crowned island individual air rifle champion this week.
The Czech-born shooter, pictured, has been involved in the sport for only three years, but led throughout the three rounds of the championship at Cobo, whichg began back in September.
The six-yard island individual championship was first awarded in 1923 and Guillou admitted that her historic win did come as something of a surprise.
‘I had a really good first round, but still didn’t think I could win it,’ she said.
