Scholes sprints to overall series glory

DUATHLON’S ‘Flying Doctor’, Mat Dorrian, lived up to the tag in winning the final race of the winter series.

But it what was going on behind the winner that many eyes were fixed upon, more precisely the battle between overall title challengers Ian Scholes, Luke Walton and Jon Greenfield.

With Scholes and Greenfield tied on points after race three and Walton one up on both of them, all were capable of taking the series title.

Thirty four competitors lined up at Pembroke Bay in glorious conditions each facing a three-mile run, 20-mile bike leg and a final three-mile run.
