Galacticos upset by the Rat Pack

Graham Peel EX-SERVICE Rat Pack have put a significant dent into Gremlin Galacticos’ hopes of lifting the Image Group Premier Division title with a 7-5 win that has handed the initiative to La Villette Hotel Gremlins.

The Rat Pack have come close to beating the top two sides, particularly on their own tables, but they managed it this time with captain Graham Peel (pictured) securing the final frame of the night.

There was little sign of what was to come as the Galacticos started well enough to build a 4-1 lead.

Darren Hughes’ best of season 57 break ended with a missed black off its spot with a couple of reds left, while Adam Shorto recovered from losing his opener to Adrian Trustum’s fine 45 break by taking the next two with breaks of 53 and 51.
