A member of staff at Ardel Fund Services Limited has become the youngest student ever to complete an International Diploma in Financial Administration.

Ciaran Slattery, an assistant fund administrator, recently completed the international diploma which gives students an introduction to trust and company administration and investments at the age of just 18.

Ardel Fund Services Limited is a leading independent provider of third party fund administration services in the island and the company actively encourages employees to progress with their professional fund administration qualifications.

Wes McGowan, personnel director, thinks Ciaran gaining the diploma is a real accomplishment: “His hard work has paid off and the company is proud of his achievement. Ardel is committed to the training and development of its staff and supports a wide range of training programmes in relevant disciplines.

“This qualification has given Ciaran a good grounding in the regulatory environment governing financial services organisations both in the UK and in other finance centres which add value to his role at Ardel as we operate in numerous jurisdictions,” he said.

Yvonne Tanner, Guernsey Business School programme manager, was equally thrilled with Ciaran’s result: “This is a great reflection of both the high professional standards the island continues to achieve and of course the hard work Ciaran has put in. I congratulate him and am sure he has a successful future ahead.”
