Hotel manager is jailed for fifteen months for 505 child porn images
Wednesday 30th March 2011, 1:00PM BST.
AN INQUIRY into child pornography that began in Belarus in 2007 led investigators to a Guernsey resident’s door.
Operation Tornado targeted people who subscribed to websites that featured indecent images of children and in January 2009 it led to Mark Gunter, the Royal Court was told.
A computer tower and a laptop were seized and Gunter, 46, who was a hotel manager at the time, was arrested.
Gunter pleaded guilty to a total of seven charges of possessing indecent images of children.
Gunter was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment on the tower offences and 12 months for the laptop, meaning he will spend up to 15 months in prison.

No where near long enough, I worked with this guy for about a year at the st pierre park hotel about 4 years ago and he was always a strange one but I would have never guest this about him, I guess you never know do you. He has helped with the destruction of hundreds of lives and yes only gets a day for each of them, Is this whats called justice.

You must be quite new to this site if you presume that all posts (including some of mine)are sensible

Over 500 images on his computers and he only gets 15 months yet the other similar cases in recent weeks the others were getting three years or more. That doesn’t compute.

I agree it’s a pathetic sentence, but, (forgive me if I’m wrong) I’m pretty sure it said in the paper that he didn’t have any of these images saved onto his computer, they were all in his browsing history. I guess that’s why it’s not a long sentence however I think it shouldn’t matter whether these creatures save the images or not, it’s still totally disgusting
