Hadrian WakehamTHE owner of Waves apart-hotel has been forced to comply with a planning decision that he claimed would be financial suicide.

Hadrian Wakeham (pictured) lost his appeal to overturn a compliance notice issued and later altered by the Environment Department in November 2010.

It stated that certain conditions associated with a development control permit, which gave permission to create 10 holiday apartments and owner’s accommodation in April 2009, had not been met.

Those included car parking indicated on the approved plans, which said it should be surfaced, marked out and made available for vehicles prior to the building being used.
