Waiting their turn: Guernsey batsmen on the sidelines. (1121213)
PREVIOUSLY, a three-figure Guernsey score against England would have been little more than a pipe dream.
But it became reality on Saturday at Indoor Cricket Guernsey as the Sarnians showed great leaps of improvement in the middle game of the three-match weekend series.
And although eventually losing the second test 156-104, it was an encouraging performance to follow the under-19s in their first encounter on Friday night, when they came within a wicket of victory.
They lost a thrilling opener 71-64, knowing a wicket off the last ball of the match would have pegged the English back and ensured a Sarnian win.

As England Under 19 coach, I would like to pass on a big thank you to everyone on Guernsey for the hospitality and friendliness. The cricket was played in a very professional way with high skill levels on both sides, We (the under 19s) had to dig very deep to survive in our first game, which goes to show how the Guernsey team have progressed. We hope to meet up again, and we know we will face a stern challenge, we would expect nothing less from the Guernsey boys.
Once again thank you Guernsey
