THE Blenheim Group Weekend Series kicked off this month, opening the Guernsey Yacht Club’s spring schedule.
On Sunday morning it was the turn of the yachts, with honours up for grabs in the Melges class and Class 1.
A forecast of light winds meant a low turnout in Class 2 and that race was abandoned.
At the start, light winds suited the smaller boats and the Melges quickly established a lead over the rest of the field.
