COLIN LAINE has become the first kart driver to break 19sec. for a lap of the Track.
Two records were broken at Sunday’s meeting, the first by Kasey Watson who beat the junior mark with a time of 19.42sec., but the other was a real milestone as Laine clocked 18.98sec.
It is another remarkable achievement to add to the 54-year-old’s list.
‘It felt pretty good – it’s great to get that sort of performance at the beginning of a new season,’ said Laine.
