Treasury calls for close look at cost of care of the elderly
Friday 15th April 2011, 2:29PM BST.
FUNDING of elderly care has to be reviewed as soon as possible, Treasury and Resources has said.
The department’s comments come after further details were released this morning about Housing and Health and Social Services’ plans to redevelop Maison Maritaine and Longue Rue House.
The proposals will be debated at the States May meeting.
In the Billet d’Etat, Treasury and Resources minister Charles Parkinson said his board supported the proposals but said it was important that care for the elderly was looked at.
