Former managing director Terry Le Maitre, 62, said Mr Ozard had been a driver for the company and The Guernsey Railway Company 40 years ago.
‘He was a pleasant, humorous sort of bloke,’ he said. ‘He got on very well with all his workmates – we never had any problems with him.’
The 75-year-old was pronounced dead in hospital on Monday afternoon, despite the best efforts of an islander who offered first aid and paramedics who provided treatment at the scene.
