A packed pub remembers Kingpin and helps Michelle
Monday 18th April 2011, 2:29PM BST.
A PACKED Trafalgar Inn remembered Keith ‘Kingpin’ Queripel in style on Friday night.
The pub had invited all his friends and family to a raffle and fund-raising evening in memory of the popular 52-year-old who died last week in intensive care after a brain haemorrhage caused him to crash at Amherst on his way to work on 7 April.
All proceeds from the night are to be given to Kingpin’s widow, Michelle.
Michael Druce (pictured), who captains the Trafalgar Inn’s Gambling Parrots euchre team, of which Kingpin was a member, said they would be counting the money soon, but a ‘good amount’ had been raised, including £610 from the auction of a painting of racehorse Desert Orchid.
