St Martin’s 3, Northerners 1
THE silverware keeps on rolling into the Blanche Pierre Lane trophy cabinet after St Martin’s added the Jeremie Cup to their season’s collection on Saturday.

Their victory over North at the Corbet Field will not go down as a classic final but still one played at frenetic, break-neck speed for large periods.

In the end, it would be impossible to begrudge the black-and-whites their victory as they had the better of proceedings and looked distinctly sharper in front of goal, albeit with goalkeeper Chris Tardif proving his class at two vital moments at the other end.

The downside of the afternoon for them was Ben Coulter going down unchallenged on the right-hand touchline after only 20 minutes of play, clutching his knee.
