HEALTH and Social Services is investigating selling off parts of its estate including prime property at Swissville.

Its report into the future of health care said that its infrastructure was not always suitable for providing modern services, something which could contribute to inefficiencies in service delivery.

The department already has plans under way to move mental health services out of the Castel Hospital and centralise them at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital site, which should go to the States for detailed approval in 2012.

‘We’re trying not just to look at the PEH. There is something like £150m. of real estate insured across Health and Social Services. We have Swissville, a prime potential site in St Peter Port, to sell off. It’s not the easiest place to offer social services from,’ said a department spokesman.

What these so called politicians are saying is this,

We have some friends who need a good site to erect a super house, so we can sell off Swiss ville and still have friends,

    Cynical? Perhaps,
    true? probably.

If it has got to be sold (no proof of that except THEIRS.)

But it should only be developed by local.- for local use.

It’s time that lot was put out to graze.

    @Islander

    Yawn… yawn… yawn

Swissville is totally unsuited for the provision of modern day health and social services. I say get it registered as open market and sell it off to the highest bidder and let HSSD have the proceeds to fund its next big capital project…

(… oh, I forgot, the open market has been ruined for the time being because of the negative messages sent out by those idiots conducting the population policy survey)

    Thank you Martino,

It’s good to see that you manage to have a good yawn; as you say it to yourself look in the mirror.

But what I find with a lot of your letters, in fact most of your pratting, or is that prattling, never mind as I was saying, if people disagree , or say anything you dislike then they get the special from the specialist,, in a few words they all become idiots,

So I wonder (being as he would point out,) an idiot myself what lane are you in.. master mind?

Hey, Islander, I can’t help it if there are so many idiots around, but please note I didn’t actually accuse you of being one.

    True Martino,
On the other hand if you read my note carefully I didn’t accuse you of such,
However you are off times quick to snatch at an item and in reality twist it a little.

Well that’s fine, yet you know a circus is useless without some clowns, So carry on.
