AFTER an evening of fine dining, the Channel Islands chef of the year was announced last night.
Bella Luce commis chef Thomas Edwards took the title, followed by Saints Bay Hotel chef Ashraf Elsergany, who came in second, and Absolute End chef Giuseppe Cerciello Rega, who took third place.
Prior to the announcement, Mr Edwards, 26, said he was not expecting to receive the award, although it would be wonderful to do so.
Cooking, he said, had made him what he was.
