LOUISE PERRIO took her record-breaking form onto the west coast road between Port Soif and Les Amarreurs yesterday.

But her new personal best, by more than half-a-minute, and island record of 35min. 44sec. gave her only third place in a quality 10k women’s race to open this year’s KPMG Easter Festival.

Overall and women’s honours went to two of the mighty Aldershot and Farnham club’s contingent of Great Britain junior internationals.

Andrew Combs, just 19, won the race in a new PB of 31min. 34sec. and then proclaimed that the course was the best and most scenic he had ever run.
