Irish cavalry arrives to help out farrier

EQUINE care in Guernsey is to be given a boost by the arrival of another farrier.
Thady Griffith, who is currently the only full-time resident farrier in the island, is to be joined at RHT Griffith by Donal Byrne, a fourth-generation farrier from Donegal.
Mr Griffith had been searching for the right person for the past nine months.
He said the lack of qualified farriers had been causing difficulties for the equine population and their owners.
