ST MARTIN’S are the kings of Channel Island football once again after winning the Upton Park Trophy on Saturday.
Guernsey’s champions beat their Jersey counterparts St Paul’s 2-1 after extra-time of a thrilling match at Springfield.
Marc McGrath was the hero with the late winner, after Dom Heaume had cancelled out the home side’s lead through Craig Russell.
It was Saints’ first Upton success since 2004 and their first on away soil since 1985, with coach Colin Fallaize a delighted man come the final whistle.
‘It is fair to say that this is my finest hour as Saints coach,’ he said.
