Coulter a big doubt for Greens

BEN COULTER is a serious doubt for Guernsey’s defence of the Muratti Vase.
Going into Sunday 8 May’s showpiece game against Jersey at the Track, the Island regular (pictured) is struggling with the knee injury sustained in the recent Jeremie Cup final which was aggravated in the warm-up of last weekend’s Upton.
But Sarnian coach Tony Vance has confirmed that a final decision will be made next week on the combative midfielder, as the St Martin’s man is one of a 20-man squad named for this summer’s NatWest Island Games.
With the quartet of Dave Rihoy, Craig Young, Scott Bradford and Joby Bourgaize unable to travel to the Isle of Wight, there is a youthful feel to the squad, with Kieran Mahon, Scott Bougourd and Matt Loaring all being called up.
