St Martin’s 2, Sylvans 0
ST MARTIN’S won their fifth piece of silverware this season with a comfortable victory over Sylvans last night at the Corbet Field.
Early strikes from Matt Warren and a Marc McGrath penalty were enough to win it for the Channel Island champions, who had many star names absent.
However, they were still too good for a valiant and hard-working Sylvans side, led by new coach Shaun Staples, who fell behind within eight minutes.
A Jamie Dodd throw was flicked across their own area by a Sylvans head, giving the excellent Warren the simplest of tap-ins at the back post.
