‘We can compete internationally’

INVESTMENT by owners of establishments in the local hospitality industry is allowing the sector to compete on an international level, according to the new general manager of La Fregate Hotel.
Simon Dufty (pictured), who has worked at some of the Channel Islands’ premier establishments over the past 35 years, took on his new role at the start of the month.
He said the outlook for the hospitality industry in both Guernsey and Jersey at the moment was a positive one.
‘Many hoteliers and restaurateurs across the Channel Islands have invested heavily in their products and now have establishments that can compete on an international level.’
