DESPITE Jersey’s efforts, Guernsey yet again showed who is boss is as they romped to a comfortable 7-3 Green Trophy victory.

The unchanged side from last year of Garry Dodd, Olly Langlois and Phil Ogier all contributed to the win against the home side who fielded a Scot and two Poles in their three-man team.

Langlois opened up against Craig Gascoyne and fought hard throughout the encounter. Unfortunately it was not enough on this occasion and Gascoyne held his nerve to close out the match 11-7 and gift the home side an early lead.

CI champion Dodd was up next against the unproven Pole Marius Cieminski. While troubled in the opening end, which was won 15-13 by the Sarnian, the rest of the match was a formality as Dodd claimed the second and third games dropping just four points in the process.
