Big Guernsey contingent bring home five records

BOULEY Bay hill was awash with Guernsey racers for the Liberation Day hill climb and the Sarnians made their presence felt by claiming five of the eight records broken on the day.
All told, there were 38 Sarnians on the entry list which accounted for almost a third of the total.
Guernseyman Tim Tulie got the ball rolling when he lowered his own class record in his very quick Westfield SE.
The car has been considerably modified over the winter and this clearly paid dividends when Tulie shaved a second-and-a-half off his previous record with a 43.93-second run.
