Guest workers travel on tickets bought with stolen US cards

THREE Latvians have been arrested in the island as part of an ongoing international fraud investigation, it emerged yesterday.
Two men and a woman were stopped at the harbour at 3pm on Thursday and have since been released on police bail.
Officers are investigating the use of stolen American and Canadian credit card and bank details to book travel to and from Guernsey over the internet.
Detectives from Guernsey’s CID and Commercial Fraud Department are working with Europol and Interpol to trace the main suspects in the distribution of stolen card details.
DS Andy Whitton said they were believed to be based in Eastern Europe.
