A RINGING endorsement of the island’s investment funds industry was given at the Guernsey Funds Forum in London.
Leading UK private equity figure and Better Capital chairman Jon Moulton told the 400-plus audience at the event that Guernsey’s funds industry was on the right track and would continue to prosper.
Mr Moulton, who has a house in the island and whose Better Capital vehicle is Guernsey-domiciled, highlighted how efficiently the sector was run.
‘The thing that Guernsey has is a very good reputation – it works very well.
‘It has got excellent regulation and is sensibly run. You can actually talk to the regulator in marked contrast to some other jurisdictions.’

The Fund Forum was an excellent event and did Guernsey proud. The speakers were predominantly non Guernsey residents who were happy to endorse our Island because we are good at what we do. I am certain the result will be more business flowing into the Island which is good for us all. I feel we should applaud the efforts of a large number of local people who devoted substantial amounts of time on an unpaid basis to ensure that Guernsey is well represented in London.
