THE official reopening of Lloyds TSB’s Smith Street branch was carried out by the winner of its inaugural Guernsey Child Carer of the Year award.
The refurbished branch has been open since April, but it was only this month that completion of the two-month project was officially recognised.
Lloyds TSB business development manager Craig Duquemin said Patricia Holland, who won the carer award in February in recognition of her dedication to looking after children, was the obvious choice to perform the opening honours.
‘She is a wonderful example of those people who go above and beyond the call of duty and it was appropriate to ask her to take a leading role in our event.’
