Hot Le Prevost close to third ton

STUART LE PREVOST could not quite make it a hat-trick of GCA Championship centuries at KGV yesterday.
But his unbeaten 93 for Cobo maintained a remarkable run of form for the island skipper and it under-pinned an 81-run victory over the previously undefeated ORs.
On a belter of a track and on an outfield seldom seen so light in colour for the first full month of the campaign and which must be putting dread in the thoughts of bowlers wondering what it will be like by the time July arrives, a remarkable 575 runs were scored on the day.
But, seemingly, it won’t be quite enough to secure Cobo the championship, that opening day defeat by Argylls having given them a mountain to climb in a four-match programme.
