A SPATE of recent arson attacks could be linked, say police.

Following news that another car had been set alight on Friday evening at Foote’s Lane, Sergeant Stuart Ogier said yesterday that it seemed too much of a coincidence for so many incidents in the past week to happen in such a short space of time.

‘We’ve had a lot of cars set on fire and a lot of thefts from vehicles as well. Foote’s Lane is being targeted, as are cars around the coast.’

The most recent incident at the sports ground, where two cars were damaged, is being treated as suspicious.

I was in footes lane yesterday and saw these burnt cars. as you drive into the car park there is a sign saying how cctv is in use, therefore this shouldnt be too hard for the police to have some idea of the suspects……….

Not if the pictures are up to the usual useless standard as printed from time to time in the Press

Add to that it was probably dark at the time of this brave criminal act and it may well have been smoky too

I don’t understand why people invest in such useless CCTV cameras unless it’s just for show

i dont see why CCTV camras cant be fitted to the new grammer school six form center and turned to point towords foots lane and the roe of houses that are along that road because where that new school lies is right smack bang in the middle of the road and eather way who ever did all those attacks on those cars would have no way out at night unless they climb over the bushs that comes out the back of colins road and who would want to try to do that in the dark when theirs lots of big holes and streams to get over in a hurrey .so two CCTV camras are better than one .one at each end of the new six form grammer school with a zoom in lens that should do the trick next time these idots strike again if ever

It would appear that once again things are not as they were intended to be.

Ships with no cargo, armoured cars with no armour,

It might have been better to buy extra fire enginges.

Anyway that is by the bye; what is really needed is a complete oil change of Government, the old lot are all worn out, fresh blood is needed- to oil our Island along a smoother and better way.
