Residents anxious as arsonists and thieves target Foote’s Lane

SOME people living near the car park at Foote’s Lane expressed concern yesterday that the area appears to have become a target for car fires and thefts.
Julian Diligent, 64, said he had never seen any problems until now.
He had lived at Meadow Grove for 10 years until recently.
A car was set on fire at the car park on Friday evening.
‘Hopefully it’s just a one-off,’ he said.

Comments over heard via that well known conduit of news and views and Hello magazine level of gossip, a hair salon, were that ‘Dep Flouquet lives very close bye, but his car is never parked there’….
If Dave Jones is to be believed, Guernsey politicians are immune to spiteful gossip, since it goes with the job. They do have a right though, to own their personal lives and whatever that entails.
