Photography Festival’s first exhibit takes shape

A SIX-METRE cube near North Beach is the first of 30 exhibits that will be sprouting up in Town for the Guernsey Photography Festival.
A crane yesterday moved the supports of the giant box into place. It will eventually be clad in the work of photographer Martin Parr for the launch of the festival on Wednesday.
Festival director Jean-Christophe Godet (pictured) said the group had been working intensively on the project for the last 10 months and now the pieces of the jigsaw were finally coming together.
‘It’s a very exciting time for us and for the public who will be seeing different structures mushrooming up in St Peter Port,’ he said.
