THE juniors gave Guernsey something to cheer about at the weekend in the inter-island volleyball matches at Beau Sejour.
Although the Guernsey men’s and women’s club champions, Nashcopy and MEC respectively, could not convert their titles into Channel Islands ones, the Guernsey under-17s put in an impressive display to defeat their Jersey counterparts.

The day started with the men’s CI Championship fixture as Nashcopy, fresh from their excellent season of losing only once, came up against an equally impressive Sandkickers team, who included numerous island players.
