Supplement campaigners to fight on as States toes the EU line

CAMPAIGNERS fighting for the right to take the food supplements they want said yesterday they would not give up the struggle.

That was despite the States approving a proposal to adopt EU legislation that will limit their freedom to do so.

Campaigner Liz Adams said that protesters should not be disappointed because the debate had highlighted their cause and deputies had taken their arguments on board.

‘This is not the end, this is just the beginning. We are going to protest in a variety of ways so the public will be able to judge for themselves.’

    Blackberries should be fine.

    Fortified blackberries which are sold as a “traditional Guernsey remedy to asthma” will need to pass through a scientific assesment.
