TOP seed Aimee Ponte stormed into the quarter-finals of the Intertrust Island Women’s Championships with a crushing 8 and 7 win over Jacqueline Eggo.
It was a good day for the youngsters as Beki Le Cheminant and Abigail Howard also triumphed, respective 7 and 6 and 2 and 1 winners over Marilyn Pugh and Janette Riley.
Liz Darling put out former champ Veronica Bougourd 1 up with the aid of an eagle three on the ninth, and there were also wins for Doreen Munroe, Mandy Webber, Di Stenner and Di Aitchison.
