A MAN who was found dead at a Town flat had not been seen alive for a week, an inquest heard yesterday.
James Queripel, 38, died at his home, Flat 7, 1, Cliff Terrace, Cliff Street, St Peter Port, between 6pm on 12 May this year and 11.13am on 19 May.
Inspector Richard Medhurst told the inquest that Mr Queripel had a history of using illicit drugs. He was known to inject heroin, the narcotic analgesic fentanyl and also to use cannabis.
Judge Philip Robey adjourned the inquest indefinitely. He gave permission for Mr Queripel’s funeral to take place and extended the court’s deepest sympathies to his relatives and friends.
