A THREE-tonne pre-stressed plank used as part of the flooring at the under-construction Les Beaucamps High has collapsed.
It crashed into the classroom below on the second floor, coming to rest on similar beams on the site.
No one was hurt in the incident but sources familiar with the project said someone was working underneath less than an hour earlier.
‘It is fortunate the incident happened after 5 o’clock when work had finished for the day,’ they said. ‘A man was working there 30 minutes earlier.’
The collapse at the £37m. build is under investigation.
