Kylie’s run continues

Kylie RobilliardA STRONG headwind denied her any chance of a new PB, but Kylie Robilliard (pictured) maintained her winning form at the Bedford International Games.

Competing in the 100m hurdles B race, the big Guernsey medal hope for the Isle of Wight Island Games romped to a fine win in 14.17sec., despite a fierce minus 3.7 metres per second headwind.

That time would have made her very competitive in the A race won by international Gemma Bennett, who was on the start line in last week’s Diamond League meeting in Oslo.

Bennett clocked 13.68 in Bedford.

Steve Dawes ran a massive PB for the 5,000m at the BMC Nike Grand Prix in Watford, clocking 14min. 45.83sec. to take 30sec., off his previous best and leap above Alan Rowe, Francis Kehoe and Dave Kreckeler in the island’s all-time rankings for the distance.
