Cubs discover Second World War bomb

CUB scouts who found a bomb at Le Catioroc were allowed to press the button on a controlled explosion that destroyed it safely.
Fourth Guernsey Air Scout Cubs leader Sue Le Billon said that the group were on a normal night of activities when they found the device.
‘We were playing a game of hide and seek when all of a sudden the Cubs came running out the copse shouting “we found a bomb”.’
Toby Benstead, 8, had come across it lying on the ground, much to his excitement.

As exciting as this was, I wish the authorities had told the neighbours *before* they conducted the controlled explosion.
