FRESH from her French Open exploits and breaking into the world’s top 100, Heather Watson has received a kind draw for Wimbledon next week.
The historic All England Championships kick off on the grass at SW19 on Monday, with Guernsey girl Watson facing Mathilde Johansson first up.
Swedish-born but now representing France, the 26-year-old world number 64 Johansson is more of a clay-court specialist, who has only reached the Wimbledon second round on one previous occasion, in 2009.
And after avoiding a seeded player or big name in round one, Watson, herself now ranked 93 in the world, will fancy her chances against the French number three.
