EMMA DOREY beat the conditions to ride to a hat-trick of wins on the first day of the BSJA Derby Show at Chemin Le Roi.
Amid the heavy rain showers on Saturday, there were some seriously impressive rides within the senior ranks, Dorey securing the only multiple success, with six other riders all victorious on one occasion.
Of those nine classes on show, the Senior Large Derby Trial provided arguably the most quality, with four out of the six horses completing clear rounds to enter a jump-off.
Roberto II, ridden by Jodie Travers, set the pace with another clear round in 44.15sec. first up and Charlotte Breban on Papillon III could not match it, accruing four faults.
